Aston Martin Cylinder Liner Issues

One question that is consistently asked is, "Some of my cylinder block weep holes are weeping in my Aston Martin engine; what should I do ?"  Traditionally, with the V8 engines, the advice has been, if there is minimal weeping, with just a slight witness and no significant leaking of coolant or oil, and the engine is otherwise healthy, don't panic and keep an eye on it. If it worsens, it will be a problem requiring attention.

In normal circumstances, this advice was sound. However, we now see a pattern developing, and this advice has now changed.

We are seeing a significant amount of V8 cylinder blocks with excessive corrosion, where the early signs have been ignored based on the above advice.
The latest advice is to act now. This proactive approach will not only save you considerable costs but also prevent potential heartache in the future.

By taking action early, you can ensure the longevity and performance of your Aston Martin engine.

The images contained in this article tell the story of the new advice being followed. Despite the corrosion having 'set in', acting sooner rather than later has prevented any significant issues from occurring. This success story should give you hope and confidence in the effectiveness of the new advice.

We are able to treat the affected area and carry out a comprehensive, guaranteed 're fresh' of the main wear components, and the engine built and re fitted ready for use with a significant savings.
